    Hi Erica,

I don’t have the “Remove” links beside the connected services. I wanted to remove “Sites – companyname”
It cannot be a permission problem because I’m the administrator of the Office365 portal.

Yay … damned one drive – hate it – thank you Erica 🙂 … and I found out where to lose the other options as well 🙂 … a GREAT MONDAY.

I have the same issue. I want to remove the “save as” onedrive for business, and sharepoint options in the office programs.
I am using Office365 and is global administrator, so I can set any option

@Erica: Where do I check for these default connected services?

@Jason: How did you remove the onedrive?

There is a workaround for this, you can create a DWORD entry with the name “OnlineStorage” in the registry under:
with the value “3” (3: All Microsoft Online Locations are hidden).

Only downside you have to create this entry for every user on every computer.

THIS WAS AWESOME, every other thread was telling me to go into local group policy editor to remove these accounts. Man, what a run around. Thank you. Simple and easy, as it should be. I will share where needed.

Stumbled across this thread looking for a fix as to why I cannot add a private site collection to Word 2016 after getting nowhere with Microsoft. I want to add a second SharePoint site (lSharePoint online) to the Save As and Open location within Word 2016 as per the image above, but I don’t seem to have this option. Whenever I try to add a service nothing happens, I have the default SharePoint site collecton, but no others. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

I also had no option for disabling a service as shown in figure 5. However, in figure 6, right above the item 3 circle I clicked OFF “Show additional places for saving, even if sign-in may be required” and that step, in conjunction with the others shared by Erica, resolved the issue for me. Thanks Erica!
